hinterland 

 ​​​Wanting to live closer to the earth, we moved to the country 15 years ago. Since then I have been seduced, somewhat secluded and totally amazed by the allure of my surroundings. The spacial quality of openness, marks made by nature and man, challenge, thrill and instruct my art.
​My hinterland is indeed uncharted area that remains beyond what is visible or known. My challenge remains to express the discoveries of the surroundings in new ways.
